Occupying the Space

Occupying Space explores the power of scale through exaggerated proportions and oversized silhouettes. The garments challenge the expectation of shrinking or blending in, instead embracing visibility and presence. Inspired by bold architectural forms and expansive volumes, the collection transforms clothing into a statement of confidence. Each look reclaims space unapologetically, using proportion as a tool for expression.

Sketches and Studies

Through a series of proportion studies, silhouette explorations, and iterative sketches, I investigated different ways of expressing scale and presence through clothing. Failed concepts were equally important, revealing directions that felt too decorative, restrictive, or disconnected from the core idea. This process of testing, refining, and eliminating gradually shaped the final garment. The resulting design balances exaggerated volume with wearability, embodying the concept of occupying space through form and proportion.
